CASSAR. On June 30, ANTON of Marsa, aged 90, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maria, née Galea, his daughter Anna Maria and her husband James Davis, his son Joseph and his wife Margaret and grand-daughter Desirée Marie and other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège, accompanied by the Marsa Trinity Band, leaves Balbi Street tomorrow at 2pm for the Holy Trinity parish church, Marsa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

DUNN. On June 27, at his home in Sydney, GRAHAME, aged 75. Sadly missed and much loved by his wife Pauline, née Zammit, his children Nicola and husband Patrick, Corey and partner Alana, his two grandsons William and Luke, his sister Carol, his in-laws and their families in Australia and Malta. Funeral service to be held in Australia on Friday, July 4. Lord, grant him eternal rest – we miss you all.

MICALLEF-GRIMAUD. On June 30, Dame MARIUCCIA Micallef-Grimaud M.Q.R., passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Mario Ivan and his wife Mariuccia, her daughters Nadine, Glorian and her husband Godfrey Sammut, her four grandchildren Claude, Jean Karl, James and Corinne, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow for St Augustine parish church, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30am followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to St Claire’s Monastery, St Julian’s will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

SALIBA. On June 29, RITA, aged 66, joined the Risen Lord, after a short illness borne with Christian fortitude. She leaves to mourn her great loss, her beloved husband Richard, her brother Gregory Spiteri and his wife Vicky, her sister Caterina and her husband David Camilleri, her brother Armando and his wife Elaine, his in-laws Joseph and Anne, David and Rose, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 9am for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at Mater Dei Hospital and Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre for their sterling work and dedication. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CARUANA – WALTER who passed away on July 1, 1947. Always remembered in our prayers. His children Lillian and Rosemarie Sansone and grandchildren.

ELLUL – JOSEPH. Today the 11th year of his demise. Fondly remembered by his sisters Mary and Lina, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

RIZZO – MARY VICTORIA, née Xuereb. Fondest memories of a dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, today the 16th anniversary of her demise. Sadly missed by her children Marianne, Alfred, Patricia, Josephine, Paul, in-laws, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

VELLA. In loving memory of JESSIE on the 31st anniversary of her death. Her children, Mary and Tony Gregory, Vicki and Richard Escott, Leonard and Carmen, her son-in-law Peter Tortell and her grandchildren. Praise be to Jesus and Mary.

Sliema bazaar

A bazaar is being held at 49, Cathedral Street, Sliema, next door to Stella Maris parish centre.

It will be open from tomorrow to Saturday from 9am to 1pm and from 3.30 to 7pm.
