Ever since this newspaper is being referred to as Times of Malta, I have felt I should write and ask to correct this aberration, but have hesitated for various reasons.

The point is that Times of Malta could mean lots of things but a newspaper needs to be identified by the definitive article, in lower case, ‘the’, even if it is not part of the title.

Thus, it should be referred to as the Times of Malta.

Apart from anything else it sounds odd without the definitive article and, to my mind, bad grammar, though, of course, I may be wrong.
