CATANIA. On June 25, ALFRED JOSEPH, aged 76, passed peacefully away comforted by rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his adored wife of 52 years, Rose née Caruana, his daughter Joanna Drake, his son J. Henry, his treasured grandchildren Matthew and Katrina, his son-in-law Kevin Drake, Marlene Catania, widow of his brother Charles, his sister Doris and her husband Arnold Grech, his brother Victor and his wife Elise, his sister Josette and her husband Joseph Fava, in-laws, nephews, nieces, other relatives and his many friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 8.30am at Lija parish church, followed by interment at Lija cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Crèche, Sliema, will be greatly appreciated. We thank him for his inspirational life and example; it will shine on in our hearts forever. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
CILIA. On June 27, at Mtarfa Home, LORA, née Sammut, of Rabat, aged 94, widow of Frank, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Mary Anne de Celis and her family, her brother George and his wife Sylvia, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mtarfa Home tomorrow at 2.30pm for St Dominic’s church, Rabat where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Margherita cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. FALZON. On June 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPHINE, née Bugeja, of Mġarr, aged 73, passed peacefully away to meet the Good Lord. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Joseph, her son Joseph, her son Charlie and his wife Maria, her son Richard and his wife Fiona, her beloved grandchildren Jean Luca, Elise, Timothy and Thea, her family, her husband’s family, relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said at St Mary’s parish church Mġarr, tomorrow at 3.30pm followed by interment at Mġarr cemetery. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
MELI. On June 27, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, DOMENICA, aged 77, of Msida, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her husband Frans, her children Alice and her husband Charles, Charles and his wife Joyce and Catherine and her husband Charles, her grandchildren Elaine and her husband Chris, Janice, Cheryl, Yanika, Clint, Brandon and Christianne and their boyfriends and girlfriends, her great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters and sister-in-law. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence tomorrow at 2pm for St Joseph the Worker parish church, Msida, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm followed by interment in the family vault at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. The family would like to thank all the staff at the residence for their care and dedication.
Memorial Mass
A memorial Mass to commemorate the life of the late Dr WILFRED MAGRI will be said on Tuesday at 6.30pm at the Salesian Oratory. In attendance will be his widow Gill, his daughter Nichola and her husband Matthew, as well as two of his grandchildren, Emma and Oscar. The attendance of relatives and friends will be appreciated.
