We would like to thank all the staff at St Ann’s Residential Home at the Gozo General Hospital, who in some way or another helped our aunt Ġiorġa Vella during her stay at the female geriatrics ward.

Six years ago, she suffered a massive stroke which completely changed her life. She could no longer move and became totally dependent; her right side became immobile and her speech was lost. In spite of this condition, she was fully conscious of what went on around her.

Thank God, we found great professional care, help and dedication from the staff at St Ann, who catered for her health and overall well-being: they not only cared ‘for’ her but they also cared ‘about’ her.

Our love and care together with their co-operation enabled Ġiorġa to lead a life of quality till the very end.
