Power cuts

Due to scheduled maintenance works on the electricity grid, there will be power cuts in, or parts of, the following areas today:

Between 8am and 3pm in Luqa Road, Qormi Road, Biedja, Dr Francesco Debono, Qasam Sperimentali, Ingieret and St Vincent de Paul streets, in Luqa.

Between noon and 4pm in St Paul, Toni Fenech, Għajn Rasul, Veċċa and Fr Ġwanni F. Grima streets, in St Paul’s Bay.

Between 8.30am and 1.30pm in Maltese Missionaries, Bistra, Għollieq, Tal-Qtates, Civil Defence and Constitution streets, Mosta.

Roads closed to traffic today and tomorrow

Rabat’s Saqqajja Square, Saqqajja Hill, Valletta Road and Infetti Street will be closed to traffic tomorrow from 3pm to 2am because of Mnarja events.

Infetti Street will be closed from 3pm today.

Traffic and public transport will be diverted as follows:

Traffic from Dingli and Borg Olivier Street, Rabat, will proceed towards Saqqajja Hill onto Valletta Road.

Traffic from Mdina Road, Żebbuġ and Mdina Road, Attard will be diverted onto Mtarfa bypass.

Vehicles can get to the Rabat Centre through Mtarfa bypass. Traffic leaving Rabat will be diverted through the Mtarfa bypass.

A park-and-ride service will operate between Rabat, Mġarr, Dingli and Buskett for those who will be attending the Imnarja celebrations tonight.

The shuttle service will run between 5pm and 00.50am today and rom 8pm to 4.20pm tomorrow.

Patrons will be able to purchase tickets on the bus, while parking will be free.

Meanwhile, the Birkirkara St Joseph Sports Club affiliated with the Malta Cycling Association will be organising a cycling event in Mellieħa tomorrow.

Pennellu Hill and Louis Wettinger Street will be closed to traffic from 7.30am to 11am. Buses will be diverted through Mellieħa centre.

Manikata and Miżieb will remain accessible.
