Aditus is rushing. It is worried about irregular migrants who, in any case, should be grateful. It was our soldiers who risked their lives, our taxes that provide them with accommodation, food and medical assistance. Voting rights are not something to bestow high and low.

Why does Aditus not insist that all other countries chip in and help?

Aditus’ actions instil fear in the population. Such actions instigated the electorate to vote for the far right not only in Malta but across Europe.

Malta, and the whole of Europe, risk being inundated and our civilisation will go to the dogs.

It is not colour or creed that terrifies people but the adherence of some to nomadic customs that predate even Moses.

What is Aditus doing about the treatment of women forced into marriage from a very young age,, butchered and who must have their heads covered? Do these actions respect human rights? Aditus is very selective as to which rights are applicable and which are not.

Certain groups impose far worse laws than the Inquisition and Aditus does not feel the need to complain about human rights. Should girls receive an education? Can they marry a man of their choice? Must they be genitally mutilated? Can they change religion? What would Aditus say if a Christian girl were burnt alive in public for joining another religion?

In the circumstances, I shall not be surprised if other groups are formed to safeguard Maltese culture. Culture, not religion. Religion should be free and no one should be accused of apostasy.

Have a look at what happened elsewhere. Must we impose such problems on future generations?
