ATTARD. On June 23, Dr EUCARISTICO ATTARD of Xagħra, Gozo, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sons George and his wife Juliette and Joseph and his wife Michelle, his grandchildren Krista, Oliver, Philippa, Maria and George, his sister, nieces, relatives and friends. ATTARD – PAUL A., president of The Foundation of St John’s Co-Cathedral, former Chairman of the Public Service Commission, former President of the MCAST Board of Governors and former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, residing in Birkirkara, aged 72, joined the Risen Lord on June 22. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Margaret, née Chase, his son David Paul and wife Sharon, his daughter Christine and husband Robert and his grandchildren Martina, Nicky, Maia Laura and Sofia Alina. Also deeply mourned by his brother Anthony and wife Grace, his sisters Sally, Therese and Rosemary, in-laws George and Carmen, Charles and Anne, Maryrose and Alfred, Barbara and Michael, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.45am for St Therese Sanctuary, Valley Road, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.15am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, or Holy Family Home, Naxxar, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CADEDDU. On June 24, GABRIELE, passed away peacefully after a short illness so bravely borne. He leaves to mourn his loss his most beloved wife Moira and her sons Kurt and Karl, his dear daughter Eleonora and her husband Michele and his most adorable grand-daughter Matilde, his only sister Elvira, relatives and friends. The funeral Mass will be held tomorrow at 9.30am at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at Boffa Palliative Ward and the medical staff of MMDNA for their sterling work and dedication. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

DINGLI. On June 22, JOHN, aged 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He joins his adored wife, Lilian. Mourning his loss, he leaves his beloved children Sandra, Robert and Lucienne, Marilyn, Christine and Noel, John and Bob and his much loved grandchildren Christopher and Erika, Danielle, Steven and Ciara, Natali and Nick, Justine and Andrew and Edward. He also leaves his dear sisters Mary Scicluna, Antoinette Diacono, Josephine Gerada, Eileen and her husband John Valenzia, Alice Dingli and Jean Mifsud, as well as family, neighbours and friends. The funeral departs from Mater Dei Hospital today at 8am for Our Lady of Good Counsel church, Paceville, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. TALIANA. On June 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTONIA, aged 84, surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Anna and her husband Mario Grima, Victor and his wife Maria, Pauline, and Miriam and her husband Lawrence Carabott, her grandchildren Stefan, Roberta, Daniela, Ylenia, Liam and Claire, relatives and friends.
