Being inspired by someone like Bear Grylls, the celebrity UK adventurer, philanthropist, and chief scout, is common among local scouts. It is not only about the challenge scouting presents but also about encouraging the social, physical, intellectual, character, emotional and spiritual development of young people so that they develop into capable, confident and well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success in the world.

Matthew Cassar meets Sam Cremona to hear his personal view on scouting, what he has learned from being a scout with the 1st Sliema Scout Group (Bernard's Own) and witness some of the adventurous activities these young men take part in.
