Malta International Airport presented €10,000 to the YMCA’s Homeless Kids project. This follows a joint initiative with Air Malta, whereby arriving passengers were treated to live entertainment by local bands and given T-shirts.
“We are fully aware of our commitment to society and with this in mind we feel compelled to give something back. YMCA helps some of the most vulnerable individuals and we are proud to be helping out in the way we can,” said MIA’s marketing and brand development manager Maria Vella-Galea.
“As a voluntary, non-profit organisation YMCA depends on the support given by companies and the public. Throughout the years, we have assisted various organisations that help the Maltese community and we’re determined to continue doing so,” said Melinda Kecskes, Air Malta’s head of marketing, brand and channel management.
The funds were raised for the renovation of premises in Valletta, intended mainly for YWCA’s younger residents.
