Prospective students of the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology, particularly those who have just completed Form 5 or Sixth Form, are invited to visit the Mcast Expo to be held between Wednesday and Saturday at the college’s new campus in Paola.

The event enables visitors to learn about the college’s 185 full-time and 300 part-time courses, student support services and career and employment opportunities all under one roof.

Mcast students and lecturers from the college’s 10 institutes and the Gozo Centre have prepared enjoyable hands-on activities for visitors to experience different career paths in several industrial sectors.

Career advisers and support staff will be at hand to provide advice to prospective students and answer any queries about Mcast courses. Representatives of major local employers will also be present to give details about current and upcoming job opportunities.

Mcast institutes will be hold information talks on their full-time courses as follows: Wednesday, 6 to 7pm – Art and Design, Building and Construction Engineering; 7 to 8pm – Community Services, Ap­plied Science; Thursday, 6 to 7pm – Agribusiness, Electrical and Electronics Engineering; 7 to 8pm – ICT; Friday, 10 to 11am – Pathway to Independent Living programme; 6 to 7pm – Mechanical Engineering, Business and Commerce; 7 to 8pm – Maritime, Building and Construction Engineering.

The 2014-2015 full-time course prospectus and application forms will be launched at the expo. The prospectus will contain detailed information about all courses beginning in October, ranging from introductory certificate courses to higher national dip­loma and degree programmes.

After the expo, the prospectus and application forms will be available from the Mcast main campus in Paola, from the Mcast institutes in Mosta, Naxxar, Qormi and Kalkara, from the Gozo centres in Xagħra and Xewkija and from all local council offices.

The expo opening times are from Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 8pm and from 10am to 1pm on Saturday.
