Emirates carried over two million children last year. With the busy summer holidays approaching, Skytrax’s World Best Airline is pulling out all the stops to keep children entertained in the air and on the ground.

Before departure, complimentary baby strollers and changing tables are available at the airline’s Terminal 3, while play areas equipped with toys can be found in its exclusive lounges.

Priority boarding is also provided to families with young children.

The real fun starts on board. Children’s channels feature cartoons, interactive games, podcasts and CDs.

There are currently more than 60 children’s films, including the entire Harry Potter series, a section dedicated to Disney Classics and over 20 children’s television channels, including CBeebies, Disney Junior, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. Children can also listen to music.

New, cuddly monsters AirBoe and Oggie will be in activity-filled backpacks for children to explore.

Children’s favourite meals and vegetarian options are also offered by the airline. The Skysurfers frequent flyer programme, whereby miles can be exchanged for free flights, toys, books and entry to attractions in Dubai, is also available.

Children can watch the Airshow channel to experience take-off and landing.

Emirates operates daily scheduled fligħts from Malta to Dubai using a Boeing 777 aircraft.

From August 1, Emirates will be operating twice daily fligħts between Dubai and Malta. One service will fly daily via Larnaca and the second will return to Dubai via Tripoli.
