FALZON. On June 13, JOHN of Siġġiewi, former president of the Malta Union of Bank Employees (MUBE), aged 64, passed away peacefully at his residence, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Margaret née Arpa, his beloved daughters Claire and her husband Dean, and Jeanette and her husband Robert, his granddaughters Bettina, Dara, Marilena, Letizia and Giada, his brothers and sister, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and numerous friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30pm for St Nicholas parish church, Siġġiewi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment in the family vault at Siġġiewi cemetery. Donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, would be greatly appreciated. The family wish to inform that they cannot receive visitors at this time. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MIFSUD. On June 13, NAZZARENA, of Mellieħa, aged 90, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Fr Joe, Paul and his wife Mary, Anna and her husband Jim, Maria and her husband Raymond, grandchildren Michael and his wife Bronte, Caroline and her husband Joe, Johnathan, Renee and her husband Warren, Christopher and his fiancée Sarah and Sarah, great-grandchildren Jayden, Mia, Xavier and Jack, all their relative families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held today at Our Lady of Victories parish church Mellieħa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm followed by interment at Marija Omm il-Ħniena Cemetery in Mellieħa. SAMUT-TAGLIAFERRO. Suddenly, peacefully and unexpectedly, on Wednesday June 11, MARK, aged 70, beloved widower of Carroll, née Gatt, treasured father to Nicola and Paul Busuttil, Katryna and Julian, devoted and much loved son of Lillian, cherished grandfather to Justin and Sophie, dear brother to John and his wife Mary, and dearly loved by his parents-in-law Henry and Maria Gatt and in-laws Anthony and Juliette Gatt, nephews and niece. He will be greatly missed by his relatives and many friends. The funeral Mass will be held today at 8.30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel church (Bon Kunsill), Paceville, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (upper gate). No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares Foundation, Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated.

SPITERI. On June 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, THERESA of Qormi, aged 79, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Salvina and her husband Joseph, Pawla and her husband Carmelo, her sister-in-law Lucia, widow of her brother George, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for St George parish church in Qormi where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the parish cemetery. Filipinos in Malta

Filipinos in Malta can register as overseas voters for the national elections in 2016 during an Independence Day event held at the Imperial Hotel, in Sliema today and tomorrow. Applicants need to take with them a valid passport or a copy as proof of their identity and have their biometrics data captured through the voter registration machine.
