FALZON. On June 13, JOHN of Siġġiewi, former president of the Malta Union of Bank Employees (MUBE), aged 64, passed away peacefully at his residence, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Margaret née Arpa, his beloved daughters Claire and her husband Dean, and Jeanette and her husband Robert, his granddaughters Bettina, Dara, Marilena, Letizia and Giada, his brothers and sister, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and numerous friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30pm for St Nicholas parish church, Siġġiewi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment in the family vault at Siġġiewi cemetery. Suddenly, peacefully and unexpectedly, on Wednesday June 11, MARK, aged 70, beloved widower of Carroll, née Gatt, treasured father to Nicola and Paul Busuttil, Katryna and Julian, devoted and much loved son of Lillian, cherished grandfather to Justin and Sophie, dear brother to John and his wife Mary, and dearly loved by his parents-in-law Henry and Maria Gatt and in-laws Anthony and Juliette Gatt, nephews and niece. He will be greatly missed by his relatives and many friends. The funeral Mass will be held today at 8.30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel church (Bon Kunsill), Paceville, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (upper gate). Filipinos in Malta
Filipinos in Malta can register as overseas voters for the national elections in 2016 during an Independence Day event held at the Imperial Hotel, in Sliema today and tomorrow. Applicants need to take with them a valid passport or a copy as proof of their identity and have their biometrics data captured through the voter registration machine.
