The Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa in Attard has so far raised over €4,000 for international charitable association Beyond the Moon. This has enabled a terminally-ill Maltese child to go on a dream holiday with the family.

The money was raised through two events – the Perfect Mother’s Day Gift Fair, held in the hotel’s landscaped front gardens, and the Sparkling Summer Party by the swimming pool, with the participation of the Royal Marines Association Concert Band.

As the main sponsor of the upcoming Mdina Grand Prix, the hotel is now hoping to raise more funds and boost exposure for Beyond the Moon.

The Mdina Grand Prix Foundation has even come on board to lend its support, having announced that it has chosen Beyond the Moon as its official charity for 2014.

“Once again, our collaboration with the foundation has helped us achieve great things, this time for a charity we both believe in,” said Corinthia Palace Hotel general manager David Woodward.

“Since 2006, we have successfully raised funds for 10 ill Maltese children to enjoy valuable time with their families on a holiday of a lifetime.

“Thanks to the foundation, we now hope to raise more funds than ever and look forward to seeing what can be achieved together during the Grand Prix.”

The Mdina Grand Prix will take place from October 5 to 12.
