BUGEJA. On June 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, CHARLES, aged 54, residing in Mosta, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Josette, his daughter Rebecca and her boyfriend Chris and his son Kurt, his sister Lily, wife of Tonio Fenech, their children Lara, Greta, Theresa and their partners, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Minnie and Freddie Tonna, his in-laws Charles and his partner Helen, Lily and her husband Jason Muscat, their children Sam and Paula, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for St Paul’s collegiate church, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Margherita cemetery, Rabat. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughter Cecilia, Frances, Tanya, Doreen and Marica, his sister Mary Azzopardi and her family, his wife’s brothers and sisters and their families, their respective spouses, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.15pm for The Holy Family church, Iklin, where Mass will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at the Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares, Children’s Cancer Support Group and Rainbow Ward at Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated. FREESTONE-BAYES. On June 4, at home in Anglesey, North Wales, surrounded by his family, Dr GILBERT FREESTONE-BAYES, Professor of Physics, passed peacefully away after a year’s illness bravely borne. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Rosalie née Portelli, his much loved children Tamagen and Patricia, their partners, his sister Toni, his in-laws, other relatives and friends. Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar annual general meeting
Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar will hold its annual general meeting on June 27 at 6pm at Dar il-Ħanin Samaritan in Santa Venera. Attendance and nominees for election to the FAA executive committee is restricted to paid-up members.
The AGM will be followed by a talk at 8pm by Prof. Richard England entitled ‘Spirit of Place and Places of the Spirit’, after which refreshments will be served at the venue’s garden.
