• Today, Għasri marks the feast of Christ the Saviour. A solemn concelebrated Mass will take place at 10am at Għasri parish church with the participation of the Lauda Sion choir. Horse races will be held in Għasri Street at 3pm. A procession with the statue of Christ the Saviour, accompanied by La Stella Band, starts at 8pm, followed by an evening of music at the parish centre at 10.15pm.

• Friends of the Sick and Elderly will hold its last charity sale until autumn at Victoria football ground today from 7.30am to 1pm. Sellers pay €10 per car space.

• Masses at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary will be said today at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15am and 5pm, followed by the recital of the rosary and Eucharistic benediction.

• The Richmond Foundation will hold its next self-help group in Gozo on Tuesday at 5.30pm at the NGO Centre l/o Xewkija. For further details call 2148 2336.

• An animated Mass will be cele-brated by Fr Paul Galea, OFM, on Tuesday at 7pm at St Anthony’s church, Għajnsielem. Prayers start at 6.30pm.

• The 17th edition of the Victoria International Arts Festival will be inaugurated on Wednesday at 7.30pm with a concert by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra at St George’s Basilica, Victoria. The orchestra, under the baton of festival artistic director Joseph Vella, includes violinist Dejan Bogdanovich who will perform Wieniawski’s virtuoso 2nd violin concerto. The festival will run until July 14.

• A public dialogue titled ‘Gozo in the EU’ will take place at the Hotel Ta’ Ċenċ, Sannat, on Thursday from 6 to 8pm to mark the 10th anniversary of Malta’s accession to the EU. It is organised by the Malta-EU Steering and Action Committee (Meusac) in collabor-ation with the Gozo Ministry and the Parliamentary Secretariat for the EU Presidency 2017 and EU Funds.

• Fr Raymond Francalanza, OSA, will preside a concelebrated Mass on Thursday at 6pm at St Augustine’s church, Victoria, to thank Fr Felix Buttigieg who served as Augustinian community prior for the past 12 years and to welcome the newly-appointed prior Fr Adeodato Schembri, OSA.

• On the occasion of the feast of St Anthony of Padova, Fr Eġidju Mizzi will celebrate a Mass for the sick and elderly at St Francis church, Victoria, on Friday at 9am during which he will administer the sacrament of the anointing of the sick and bless St Anthony’s bread which will be distributed to patients at Gozo General Hospital. At 5pm there will be a children’s party and the presentation of newborns to St Anthony. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a concelebrated Mass at 7pm during which the Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred.

• On the liturgical feast of St Anthony, Fr Raymond Camilleri OFM, will lead a concelebrated Mass at St Anthony’s church, Għajnsielem, on Friday at 7pm, together with a number of priests named Anthony.

• Bethel Charismatic Group will hold a prayer meeting on Saturday at 7pm at MAS headquarters, Victoria.

• The Diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at the Sacred Heart of Jesus church, Nadur, on Saturday at 8.30pm, followed by Mass at midnight.

• Applications for the Don Bosco Oratory Summer Club, Victoria, to be held from July 5 to September 5, close on June 15. Applications may be downloaded from donboscogozo.org.
