A group of Junior College students recently visited Rome as part of the multilateral Comenius project Water – A Treasured European Resource. The project’s aim is to investigate the problems and opportunities involved in the distribution and use of water.

The project also involves partners from Italy, France, Belgium and Hungary. During the meeting the students gave an overview of water-related issues in their respective countries.

In the next partners’ meeting, which will be held in Malta, students will give presentations on the socio-economic dimension in coastal areas and a comparative study on water quality in selected regions of the respective countries.

The Maltese students were accompanied by lecturers Alexandra Mifsud Bonnici and Bernadine Satariano. The project is coordin-ated by the college’s Eurocentre and supported by the Lifelong Learning Programme.
