The spokesman of the Nationalist Party, David Herrera, has resigned but will stay on for a month for a hand-over.

Mr Herrera, when contacted, did not give reasons for his decision other than that he felt it was the time to move on. He said he took his decision before the European Parliament elections.

Mr Herrera used to work in the Office of the Prime Minister and became PN spokesman when Simon Busuttil became party leader.
