A delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (CCIR) has had talks in Malta with a number of ministers, Malta Enterprise, the Malta Tourism Authority, Finance Malta, and Transport Malta.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Russian and Maltese Chambers of Commerce and Industry to pave the way for the development and enhancement of international trade ties. The signing ceremony was followed by the official appointment of the honorary representative of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Malta whose role will be to facilitate the collaboration of businesses in the respective countries.

The Executive Director of U-Group (Malta) Ltd, Anastasia Budykho was appointed Malta’s representative for the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR).

The CCIR is a non-governmental and non-profit organisation. It is a member of the World Chambers Federation, the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Eurochambers), amongst others.

One of its objectives is to foster good business practices and encourage business growth and represents the interests of small, medium and big business and encompasses all business sectors – manufacturing, domestic and foreign trade, agriculture, the finance system and services.
