A group of 26 from the Marsa Scouts Pipes and Drums are taking part in the four-day Walled City Tattoo in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland, in August.

The band participates in big events from time to time, including the Military Tattoo in Malta. The Corps of Drums is another band belonging to the Marsa Scouts Group.

In 2012, the Marsa Scouts Pipes and Drums gave a solo performance in conjunction with the Corps of Drums in Malta’s Military Tattoo. On various occasions, the band also played with the Armed Forces of Malta band.

In Ireland, they will be performing to about 18,000 spectators. The band players will be among 500 participants from France, Germany, England, Scotland and Ireland.

Two members, pipe major Alex Cutajar and pipe sergeant Thomas Zammit, attended the Tattoo’s launch in Londonderry in April.
