Same-sex marriage is absurd and irrational to any balanced thinker. What kind of ‘marriage’ is this that is unable to generate and produce offspring?

This kind of ‘marriage’ would appear ludicrous when announcements are published in the media. To give an example it may sound like this: “Mr… is being joined in marriage to Mr… at the local council’s office on… They will be spending their honeymoon in the Bahamas. Anyone having valid objections to this marriage is duty-bound to contact the mayor.” Irrespective of religious considerations, such a ‘marriage’ should never have been accepted. At least such a decision should have been left to the people in a referendum, and not to politicians.

Once same-sex ‘marriage’ is recognised, it follows that divorce should also be legally permitted for same-sex couples. This will probably lead to numerous and complicated legal implications.

The same way that there can be no fire in the absence of a combustible material, so too can there be no recognised marriage in the absence of one of the opposite gender.
