Twenty-four students from Sir Michelangelo Refalo Sixth Form, Victoria, joined young people from 26 schools from all over Europe at Euroscola Day in Strasbourg.

The students discussed European priority issues, suggested solutions and presented them to the assembly. Maria Refalo and Mario Mizzi were the spokespersons of the Gozitan group. It was the fourth consecutive year the sixth form had taken part in the event and the sixth time overall.

An assistant head and two teachers accompanied the students. Although Euroscola is sponsored by the EU Parliament, this year’s edition was held at the adjacent Council of Europe building. The students’ visit ended with a day at Karlsruhe and Triberg in Germany.

Prior to the event, the Gozitan students spent two days in Paris, where they visited Versailles, the Louvre, the Conciergerie, the Sainte-Chapelle, the Champs d’Elysee, the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica on Montmartre.
