Maltese and international fashion designers showcased their latest collections to audiences at the fourth edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Malta.

For the first time this year, all shows were held at different locations around Valletta.

The new Renzo Piano steps served as the backdrop to Caroline Hili’s fashion show, the National Library hosted Gagliardi’s 50th anniversary fashion show and Charles & Ron were lauded in the main courtyard at Fort St Elmo.

Republic Street was converted into a street theatre venue for the joint fashion show of Creative Factory 7 and Ritienne Zammit. St George’s Square hosted Tiffany Pisani’s swimwear collection.

Collections by international designers were viewed at Independence Square, while the Bridal Show was held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

Guests commented on how well the venues were adapted for the various fashion shows and how the city itself seemed to have played a central role in this event.

Malta Fashion Week executive producer Adrian Mizzi thanked V18 for its support. “We are very excited to have put our magnificent capital city on such a prestigious platform with Maltese and international audiences,” he said.

This week-long celebration came to a close yesterday evening at the Smart City Laguna, with the 16th edition of the Malta Fashion Awards.
