A Mount Carmel Hospital employee was yesterday suspended pending an investigation into allegations of indecent behaviour with a female patient who was a minor, the government said.

The hospital management acted immediately when it received information about the alleged abuse, the government said. The employee was suspended, the Commissioner for the Promotion of Rights of Mental Patients was informed and the police started investigations.
