Linda Jackson has been appointed CEO of the Citroën brand with effect from June 1. Ms Jackson, who has more than 35 years’ experience in the motor industry in a variety of financial and commercial positions, is currently managing director of Citroën in the UK and Ireland.

Also effective June 1, Yves Bonnefont will become CEO of the DS brand to boost the development of DS as a premium brand in its own right. Mr Bonnefont is currently director of strategy for the group and deputy CEO of the Citroën brand.

Commenting on the appointments, Frédéric Banzet, CEO of the Citroën brand since June 2009, said: “We currently face two strategic challenges: to continue building and accelerating the success of the DS, and to deploy the new positioning of the Citroën brand worldwide. We will do this by making DS a brand in its own right, under the leadership of Bonnefont, who played a key role in differentiating the brands. The renewal of the Citroën brand will be driven by Jackson, who has already addressed a number of challenges in the automotive industry.

“So, after five years at the head of Citroën, I am proud to be handing over to Jackson and Bonnefont, who both share the same experience and the passion for all things automotive.”.

Banzet will be joining the senior management team at FFP.
