Flamenco and traditional Maltese dancing as well as Greek, Italian and Maltese folkloristic music animated an event entitled ‘Celebrating Diversity’ held by the Europe Direct Information Centre of Victoria for students from the Gozo College’s boys’ and girls’ secondary schools. Its aim was to highlight the diversity of Europe’s 28 member states. It also featured stands about Malta, Greece, Italy, Spain, Austria and Irelend. Martin Bugelli, former head of the EU representation in Malta, chaired a discussion with the students.
