Former director of football Leonardo has hinted at a return to Paris SG this summer.

The Brazilian was forced to resign from the French giants at the end of last season after receiving an initial nine-month ban for pushing a referee.

The ban was later increased but then appealed by Leonardo, who is due in Paris on May 30 for a hearing which he hopes will be the end of the process.

PSG have never moved to replace Leonardo, and reports yesterday said that the 44-year-old was expected to return.

Leonardo said: “In life, everything is possible. You know my strong relationship with PSG. I have this club in my mind.”

Leonardo has remained in close contact with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and his recruitment expertise could be key for PSG in a summer when they are expected to be hit with penalties for breaking UEFA’s financial fair play regulations.
