For the second year running, U-Group Ltd sponsored an International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) competition.

The dynamic target shooting event was organised by the Association of Maltese Arms Collectors and Shooters and held at the GunBlast range in Nadur, Gozo.

The organisers registered an entry of 30 participants, including Russian and Irish shooters, all pitting their skills against one another in negotiating four different target stages of up to 28 shots each. Competition was stiff and the top-placed shooters achieved excellent scores with a minimal spread of points.

The Standard Division was won by Twanny Vella, followed by Clive Brockdorff and Mario Vella.

Chris Stafrace was the top marksman in the Production Division. Andre Dimech was second and Sergey Fokin third.
