After graduating in organic chemistry and working in the field for a few years, Debono has developed a new passion: fisheries science. More specifically, after joining the NGO Greenhouse while he was working on his Master’s degree, he became interested in fisheries and conservation about which, he says, little attention is paid in Malta, even though fish is considered central to the Maltese diet.

Fish4tomorrow, one of the Youth in Action projects Debono is dedicated to, aims to create awareness of fish at risk of extinction in the Mediterranean Sea and to educate the public about fish consumption. Watch the interview and hear more about the campaign and Debono’s voluntary work.
