DEGUARA CARUANA GATTO. On April 27, The most noble Countess MARIA THERESA DEGUARA CARUANA GATTO, Countess of Beberrua, at the age of 90, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Connie, Paul and his wife Maria Victoria, Henry and his fiancée Madeleine Gera, her grandchildren Malcolm and Francesco, other relatives, friends and her loved ones Mary, Jeanesse, Charmaine 1, Grace, Charlene, Charmaine II and Jacqueline. FENECH. On April 28, IRMA, née Ruzzante, widow of Edward, of Venezia, residing in Gżira, aged 93, at Mater Dei Hospital, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Emidio and his wife Marika, Victoria, Romeo and Alex, her nephews Mark and his fiancé Elaine, Jonathan, Naomi and her husband Andreas and Manuel and his fiancé Janice, her brothers and sisters residing in Venezia, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Gżira, where a Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. MICALLEF. On April 21, FRANCESCO SAVERIO, of Paola, aged 89, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his loss, his daughter Salvina and her husband Emanuel Pollacco, his son Mario and his wife Theresa, his daughter Christina and her husband Brian Chircop, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. XUEREB. On April 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 76, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Sylvia, née Grech, Cremona, his only son Robert and his wife Mariosa, his cherished grandchildren Sara, Rachel and Hannah, his brothers Emanuel and Francis and his wife Marlene, his sisters-in-law Carmen and Adelina and her husband Paul, together with other relatives and friends. Charity walk
The Gollcher Group is organising a charity walk in aid of breast cancer on Thursday, leaving from the Black Pearl in Ta’ Xbiex up to Torri in Sliema.

Thanksgiving
The Church in Malta will hold a thanksgiving mass on Sunday on the occasion of the canonisation of Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II.
Mass will be said by Archbishop Paul Cremona, Apostolic Nuncio Aldo Cavalli and Auxiliary Bishop Charles Scicluna at the Birkirkara parish church dedicated to St Helen at 6.30pm.
A holy picture with two prayers dedicated to the two new saints will be handed out to those present.
