Simshar, billed as Malta’s first feature film for an international audience, had its local premiere at the Empire Cinemas in Buġibba yesterday. The film is about a fishing trip that went tragically wrong. Seen here on the red carpet last night are Jimi Busuttil, who plays fisherman Simon’s father Karmenu, director Rebecca Cremona, Kurt Zammit who plays Aiden, Clare Agius, the mother, and Adrian Farrugia who plays Theo, the fisherman’s son.
