Sliema Frank Salt Real Estate will have their eyes set on maintaining their 100 per cent record in the Premier Division when they take on San Ġiljan All Care Insurance in this morning’s opener as the 2014 Winter League resumes after almost a month-long break due to the national teams’ commitments.

The last four weeks have been really positive for Maltese waterpolo following the excellent results achieved on the international scene.

The national team caught the eye with a splendid effort in the Commonwealth Championships in Aberdeen where Karl Izzo’s men finished second.

The junior team selection followed on the successful path of their senior peers after winning the EU 8 Nations Tournament following a 9-8 win over Austria in the final in Brno, Czech Republic.

Today, attention switches back to domestic competitions.

Sliema broke little sweat in winning their opening three matches but today they face a major test when they take on the Saints who are sharing second place with Neptunes on six points from two matches.

Neptunes will also be in action today. The Reds start favourites to chalk up a third win in a row when they play a Sirens side who have struggled so far in the league.

The St Paul’s Bay team are still without points after three matches.
