The company started operating under the name of Yachtcare in the early 1990s. What started as a relatively small operation providing services to yachts berthed in the Portomaso Marina quickly grew under the leadership of its founders, David and Kenneth Azzopardi.

In 2006 the company rebranded to Boatcare, which eventually opened a second outlet at the Ta’ Xbiex Marina as well, opening a second outlet just meters away from the pontoons.

Boatcare’s team of professionals offer a full range of services to the yachting community, from boat maintenance and guardianage, to repairs on the water or on the overhauls, refits, antifouling works, washing detailing and polishing, technical support, carpentry, upholstery works, fuelling, yacht agency services, yacht brokerage and charters, insurance, and yacht deliveries.

Boatcare is Malta’s representative for Douglas Marine’s mooring springs, Inmare equipment, M2M fenders, Blue Navy/Italia Marine range of boat cleaning products, and Dulon Marine. The company introduced brands such as Elan Powerboats and Hunter Yachts to Malta, and is a sub-dealer for Azimut-Benetti Yachts.
