• The 30th edition of the annual Fiera ta’ l-Għadira is being held today, starting at noon, in the picturesque Għadira ta’ San Raflu in Kerċem. There will be games and activities for all the family with priżes to be won, a children’s area, food and drink stalls, archery, segway adven­ture tours, a zip-line, and a clay target-shooting competition. Plants will be on sale. David’s Bakery is preparing a large traditional figolla for the event to mark its 30th anni­versary. Free parking areas will be available. • Masses at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary will be said today at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15am and 5pm, followed by the recital of the rosary and Eucharistic benediction.

• An animated Mass will be celebrated by Fr Christopher Farrugia of the Friar Minors, at Għajnsielem, on Tuesday at 7pm at St Anthony’s church in preparation of the feast of St Anthony in June. Prior to Mass, prayers will start at 6.30pm.

• The Monuments Men will be screened at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm.

• The Friends of the Sick and Elderly in Gozo are holding a charity sale today from 8am to 1pm in the football ground next to Victoria’s main car park. Sellers pay a €10 fee per car space.

• The Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration in St Michael chapel at Sacred Heart of Jesus parish church, Fontana, all year round from Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm.

• Bethel Charismatic Group will hold a prayer meeting on Saturday at 7pm at MAS headquarters, Victoria.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at Munxar parish church on Saturday at 8.30pm, followed by Mass at midnight.

• The Gozitan Graduates Move­ment invites graduates and members of professions in Gozo, including couples, for first Friday Mass in Maltese on May 2 at 8.30pm at St Augustine’s church, Victoria.

• A lunch and raffle in aid of the Friends of the Sick and Elderly and Dorthese Ellis Foundation will be held next Sunday at noon at the Victoria Scout Headquarters, Triq Sta Dominka, Victoria. • The 51st congress of the Holy Name Society will hold its concluding session next Sunday at 5pm at St Paul’s Shipwreck parish centre, Munxar. The public is invited to gather near the convent of the Sisters of Charity in St Domenica Street from where a cortege will proceed to the centre. The session will be addressed by parish priest Fr Michael Said, national chaplains and Gozo Bishop Mario Grech.

• A solo exhibition by Gabriel Caruana entitled Works on Paper will be held from Saturday to June 1 in the foyer of Il-Ħaġar Heart of Gozo museum in St George’s Square, Victoria, in collaboration with Fondazzjoni Belt Victoria. It will be open from Monday to Sunday between 9am and 5.30pm.

• Gaulitana: A Festival of Music continues with a lunchtime recital by the Italian trio Fenilya today at 11am at the Gozo Ministry hall. The second Youth and Music concert will be held on Wednesday at 7.30pm at the same venue. This will feature the Gaulitanus’s own sopranos Stephanie Portelli and Anna­belle Zammit and guest mezzo-soprano Vanessa Camenzuli. On Thursday 7.30pm the festival will move to the Gozo Cathedral for a sacred choral concert by the St Paul Choral Society, directed by Hugo Agius Muscat. This week’s events end with another concert at the Gozo Ministry hall on Saturday at 8pm, including a violin-piano recital by Spanish violinist Ana Maria Badia Nikiforova, a former child prodigy and Japanese pianist Noriko Ushioda.

• A football open day for boys and girls aged four upwards will be held at Kerċem Stadium on Thursday (a public holiday) from 9.30 to 1pm. The activity is hosted by the Kerċem Ajax Nursery and the children will be under supervision of Scottish Fifa-licensed coach Jimmy Lindsay and Uefa-licensed coach and director of youths Patrick Vassallo.
