Ecological Sustainability: The Crucial Role of Participation and its Implications for Youth Policy and Youth Work Practice is the title of a public lecture by Dr Reingard Spannring from the University of Innsbruck, Austria, on Wednesday from 6 to 7.30pm at the University’s Gateway Building, hall B2, Msida campus.

The lecture will explore the importance of youth participation in mainstream society, and the impact of various policies and practices in this regard, which directly affect the quality of young people’s lives. It will also discuss the importance of perceiving young people as resource, and how this should be addressed in various relevant policies and youth practices that will promote more active youth participation and youth empowerment in society.

The public is invited to attend.

The lecture is organised by the University’s Department of Youth and Community Studies.
