Two students from Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School, Naxxar, accompanied by two teachers, recently visited Karlstad, Sweden, for the last mobility of a Comenius multilateral partnership entitled European Tourism – Skills for Work, Skill for Life. The project involved schools from France, Malta, Scotland, Spain and Sweden.

In Sweden, John Charles Fenech and Carina Suda and the other students visited a tourism and business higher education institution where they set up a promotional stand on their respective country.

The Maltese students prepared and distributed a leaflet highlighting the Maltese islands’ best attractions, especially for young people, and answered the questions of Swedish students who were especially interested in diving, English courses and the nightlife. They also distributed typical Maltese sweets.

During their visit the students were hosted by families in Karlstad. They also participated in sports activities and a cultural tour of the city.

The project was supported by the European Union Programmes Agency (EUPA).
