BIANCO BONACI. On April 24, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, ALFRED J, after a long illness bravely borne with Christian fortitude and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Rose née De Brincat, his children Marika and her partner Klaus, Diane and her husband David, Chris and his wife Dorianne, his beloved grandchildren Edward, Zach, Martina, Luke and Zac, his sister Gemma and brother Martin, his sister-in-law Esther and other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 9.30am at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Lija Cemetery. CARDONA. On April 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, GORDON CHRISTOPHER, aged 32, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his loss his parents Oliver and Josephine, his brothers Neville Juan, Oliver and Fr Daniel, his sister Elizabeth Ann and her husband Jonathan, his nephews Matthew Alexander and Christopher Michael, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadaverewill be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CASSAR. In the early hours of April 24, RITA, wife of Raymond, aged 55, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving husband, children, brothers and sisters. She will be sadly missed and mourned by her husband Raymond, her sons Andrè and his wife Renata, Karl and Mark, her sisters Josephine and her husband Joseph, Emma and George, Mary and Gaetano, Phyllis and Joe, Katie and Alfred, Grace and Carmel, Doris and Mario, her brothers Carmelo and wife Josephine, Saviour and Jude, Tony and Carmen, her mother-in-law Mary, her sister-in-law Jacqueline and her husband Robert, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.15pm for St Catherine’s parish church, Żurrieq, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment in the family vault at St Leone Cemetery, Żurrieq. EARLAND. On April 19, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, BARBARA, passed away peacefully, aged 91. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband for over 68 years, John, her daughters Elizabeth and Catherine, her grandsons Benjamin, Nicholas, Julian and Jeremy, her faithful Maltese helper, Lucy, and many other friends in Malta and the United Kingdom. FARRUGIA. On April 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARLENE, née Xuereb, of Balzan, residing in Attard, widow of Walter, aged 89, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Carmel Joseph (Lino) and his wife Bernardette, Boris and his wife Victoria, and Walter and his wife Marie Therese, her beloved grand­children Gayle and her husband Keith Sacco, Andrew and his wife Stephanie, Justin and his wife Eva, Keith and his wife Philippa and Daniel, her great-grandchildren Nicole, Lara, Hailey and Max, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. WHITE. On April 23, GEORGE, ex-Director of Education, aged 80, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rose, née Zammit, his sons Patrick and his wife Brigid and their son Ryan, and David and his wife Audrey and their son Daniel, his brothers and sister and their families, his in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends.
