This season’s Malta Grand Prix will be hosted by Valletta Lions subbuteo club in conjunction with the Malta Table Football Sports Association and the international federation FISTF.

The tournament, sponsored by M.F. Electrix, will be played at the 12th May Band Club hall in Żebbuġ this coming weekend.

The event for teams will be played on Saturday and the singles tournament is scheduled for the following day.

Among the foreigners taking part will be former world champion Massimiliano Nastasi who is currently on the books of Italian club Napoli.

Other strong contenders for the Grand Prix title will be Spain’s Carlos Flores, the no.1 in the world rankings, and Portuguese Vasco Guimares who will be playing for Valletta Lions next season.

Play on both days of the tournament starts at 9am with the final matches on Sunday to start at 6pm.
