Following the success of the Cisco Netriders 2013 edition where ICE Malta student Ryan Chetcuti competed against 40,000 students and placed first in Europe and fourth in the world, the institute has confirmed that ICE Malta has been selected to be the host institute for this prestigious competition for the second consecutive year. Registration for this competition has now been launched at www.netacad.com.

“The Cisco Netriders competition is a fantastic opportunity to put Malta on the international ICT radar and to give local students studying at all recognised educational entities in Malta, the chance to compete with Cisco students all over the world, win great prizes including an all expense paid study trip to Cisco California, and enjoy a competitive experience which is given great importance by the industry,” said Nikolai Sammut, director of ICE Malta.

“We’re very proud of Ryan and his impressive results and we are pleased to share the news that Ryan has also been invited by Cisco to join their workforce in Scotland. This is an extremely prestigious position for Ryan, for our institute and for Malta. Together with Ryan we encourage students studying Cisco study programmes to get in touch and learn more about this notable opportunity.”

This year, both Cisco CCNA and IT Essentials (PC Technician) students have the opportunity to participate in the Cisco NetRiders 2014 edition and represent Malta in the international finals held in September 2014.

Interested participants are requested to send an e-mail to the ICE Malta team at info@icemalta.com and will receive an enrolment key which will allow them to complete the official competition registration. Students from all recognised ICT entities are encouraged to participate.
