Drama Outreach Project is holding another fundraiser at the Radisson Blu Resort, St Julian’s on April 30.

DO Project was set up in 2013 with the aim to offer underprivileged children in developing countries the chance to learn drama and English through music, dance, art and drama with the Helen O’Grady Academy.

With Cambodia the focus of its first project – entitled DO Cambodia – a team of accredited teachers and carers travelled there last August to work with orphans and street children in the capital city, Phnom Penh. The team worked closely with a number of voluntary organisations on the ground that assisted in ensuring the project was successful.

DO Project plans to continue its DO Cambodia campaign this year. The team will be returning to Phnom Penh in August with a more developed curriculum that will enable the children to acquire new skills to help them at school and their everyday life. Proceeds from the fundraiser will ensure that the team can continue to build on the foundations created last year.

Tickets can be obtained against a donation of €25 each, either online at http://www.ooii.com.mt/ticketing/ticketshome.aspx or by contacting the team on dramaoutreachproject@gmail.com.
