On the occasion of World Youth Day, which is celebrated on Palm Sunday, members of Żgħażagħ Azzjoni Kattolika (ŻAK) joined forces to donate blood at the Blood Donation Unit in Guardamangia.

World Youth Day has been celebrated since 1984, when more than 300,000 young people joined Pope John Paul II for an international youth jubilee in St Peter’s Square at the Vatican in Rome.

ŻAK, a branch of the Maltese Catholic Action, provides spiritual, social and personal development programmes for young people.
