Members of the Franciscan friary in Għajnsielem last Monday celebrated the centenary of the Maltese Franciscan province with a concelebrated Mass and Te Deum led by Fr Raymond Camilleri. The Franciscans have been present in Malta since the 15th century but the Maltese province was set up on April 12, 1914, by the then Minister General Fr Pacifico Monza, OFM.
