Printex achieves ISO

Printex has been certified to operate a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008.

Last year, Printex invested in new plastic card production machinery in order to be able to print and produce plastic cards locally. The technology enables it to produce small quantities as well as long runs, including the capability to personalise every card while it is still in production.

As a consequence of this investment, it was felt that ISO 9001:2008 certification was a natural step along the company’s growth path, the company said.

“Having certified processes in place minimises risk and helps ensure that services and processes will not only maintain their proven levels of excellence but also continue to improve over the long term,” managing director Peter Galea said.

Icon ‘silver’ competency

Icon has achieved Silver Application Development competency, from Microsoft, which it obtained after successfully demonstrating its expertise through rigorous exams culminating in Microsoft certifications.

To ensure the highest quality of service, Microsoft requires customer references to evidence the successful implementation of its customer satisfaction standards.

“By achieving a silver competency, organisations have proven their expertise in specific technology areas, placing them among the top five per cent of Microsoft partners worldwide,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president of the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Group.
