The Forum Unions Maltin this morning claimed discrimination and said they were not willing to be treated as second class to other confederations representing workers.

It said that in spite of government promises that it would be treated equally to others, the government had still not addressed its representation on the Occupational Health and Safety Authority, the International Labour Organisation and the Gozo Regional Committee.

It said that while other confederations were invited to attend a three-week ILO conference, it was informed that its attendance was limited to one week and it had to pay for the expenses involved.

The Forum requested an urgent meeting with the Prime Minister for a solution to be found before it was too late.
