If William Shakespeare were alive today he would surely be inspired to write another new drama with Oscar Pistorius as the main character. Besides being a paralympic sprinter, the disabled South African star, who is on trial for murdering his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day last year, is also a first class actor, judgeing by the testimony he has given so far.

Many believe Pistorius deserves to rot in hell for murdering such a beautiful 29-year-old law graduate in cold blood through a locked toilet door “thinking she was an intruder”.

On the witness stand he is constantly changing the version of events and blaming others. But prosecutor Gerrie Nel told the athlete, dubbed ‘Blade Runner “Your life is just what matters... Your life is just about what’s good for you, isn’t it? But your version is so improbable that no one in his right senses would ever think it’s reasonably possibly true. You’re a cheat and a first class liar!’”

June Steenkamp, the grieving mother, told the media when interviewed that she thought Pistorius was faking his distress for murdering her daughter by being over dramatic, by vomiting and by crying.

Another apparently blatant lie was when he contradicted an expert police witness by insisting that although the gun went off (referring to another firearm charge), he did not pull the trigger. He also claimed that detectives had tampered with the evidence to make it look more opportune and probable for the prosecution when it accused him of wilful murder.

Although the prosecution kept up its tough interrogation, Pistorius kept denying murder and other firearms charges.

May he be imprisoned for life with the multiple gold medals he has won.
