A 27-year-old woman from Fgura injured her hand when she was struck by a bolt of lightning at around noon.

The police said the woman, who lives in Triq il-Ward tax-Xemx, was lowering an awning in the yard of her residence when the incident happened.

Her condition is not yet known.
