The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, in collaboration with the Malta Occupational Health and Safety Authority, is organising the 12th European Good Practice Awards in Occupational Safety and Health.

The aim is to make employers and workers aware of the benefit derived from good safety and health practices to control risk at work. The theme chosen by the European Agency is Healthy Workplaces Manage Stress.

The reason behind this theme is to recognise companies or organisations that have made outstanding and innovative contributions towards the effective promotion of the management of work-related stress and psychosocial risks, thereby preventing their significant negative effects for workers, employers and governments.

Effectively tackling psychosocial risks creates a work environment in which workers stay healthy, a more positive workplace culture, and, consequently, improvement in business performance.

All submissions will be evaluated by a panel of independent judges and the winner will be announced during a ceremony held by OHSA in November 2014. Their practice and example will be submitted to the EU-OSHA.

Submission forms and brochures may be downloaded from the OHSA website

They should reach the OHS Authority, 17 Edgar Ferro Street, Pieta PTA 1533 by October 6.
