Coach Antonio Conte stressed he was fully focused on Juve’s title charge rather than his own future after his team moved a step closer to a third straight Scudetto with a 2-0 triumph at Udinese late Monday.

Juventus responded to Roma’s weekend victory over Atalanta by winning at the Stadio Friuli to restore their eight-point lead at the top of the Serie A standings with five games remaining.

The 44-year-old has yet to sign a contract extension, with his current deal expiring in June 2015, but insisted yesterday that he was concentrating only on on-field matters and would consider his future only at the end of the season.

“My mind is not on personal interests but rather on the club’s aims,” he said.

“Once we achieve our aim, I will evaluate my personal interests. My focus right now is on my players and on achieving something historic.”

Sebastian Giovinco set the visitors on their way in the 16th minute on Monday and Fernando Llorente sealed the points 10 minutes later, leaving Conte full of praise for his team.

“What mattered was getting the win and we got it,” he said.

“We knew this game in Udine could be a tricky one, but my players kept their cool and did well.

“Juve have always had to deal with pressure, especially having won their last two league titles and (Italian) Supercups.”

Juve have won 28 and lost just two of their 33 league games this season.

They have the most prolific attack in Serie A, with 71 goals scored, and have the second best defensive line – behind Roma – with just 22 conceded.

“I have confidence in my team because we’ve done great things so far,” Conte said.

“With this win, we have already reached the points mark (87) that we achieved last season. We cannot forget that we are the (Serie A) team that has played the most games this season.”

Juve host 17th-placed Bologna on Saturday, before a trip to relegation-threatened Sassuolo.
