Kurzawa: Monaco defender Layvin Kurzawa has been ruled out of action for three weeks with a thigh injury, the Ligue 1 side said. Left-back Kurzawa picked up the injury in his team’s 1-0 win at Stade Rennes on Saturday. Claudio Ranieri’s side are second in the standings, 10 points behind Paris St Germain with five games left.

Traore: Borussia Moenchen-gladbach have signed Guinea international Ibrahima Traore from Stuttgart for next season, agreeing on a four-year contract, the Bundesliga club said. The France-born 25-year-old has played for Augsburg before joining Stuttgart in 2011.

Italy warm-up: Fluminense have announced they will play a friendly against Italy on June 8 in Volta Redonda. The warm-up match will aid the Italian team to acclimatise with the weather conditions ahead of the start of the World Cup on June 12. “The Italian Federation asked us and we accepted their invitation,” Fluminense vice-president Ricardo Tenorio said. “We will play to the best of our abilities, apart of course from the players who have been called away for World Cup duty.”

Nolan: West Ham skipper Kevin Nolan is a doubt for tonight’s trip to Arsenal. The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury during the recent 2-1 defeat to Liverpool and will be handed a late fitness test. Joey O’Brien is back in training after a dislocated shoulder but fellow defender George McCartney and striker Marco Borriello will miss out again.

Rode: Bayern Munich signed Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Sebastian Rode on a four-year deal from next season. “I am very happy that the transfer worked out,” the 23-year-old Rode, who is coming back from a month-long absence due to a right knee injury, said. “Bayern is the next big step in my career. I want to further develop here and win a bunch of titles.”

The Championship: Reading vs Leicester City 1-1.
