Marc Kosciejew has dedicated his life to researching as well as teaching library and information science (LIS), a dynamic and growing disciplinary and professional field. The LIS involves traditional librarianship, archival work, information management and governance, information policy (privacy, access,
security, rights), and analysis of the many different roles and concepts of
information within society. LIS, according to Marc, is highly interdisciplinary, involving other fields, such as, business, politics, and science.

Only 34, Marc has already researched, taught, and presented around the world on LIS concepts and case studies, most notably, he has done first-hand research in North Korea on the Communist state's library system.
