Lions Club Mdina is organising a concert of classical music by soprano Nicola Said, accompanied by pianist Gisele Grima, on April 21 at 7.30pm at the Malta Society of Arts, Palazzo De La Salle, Republic Street, Valletta.

Ms Said’s Master’s in performance at the Guildhall School of Music in London has involved performing works by classical Maltese composers Mro Joseph Vella, Alex Vella Gregory and Veronique Vella. Other composers include Charles Camilleri, Nicolò Isouard, Paolo Nani and Carmelo Pace.

Besides promoting Maltese talent, the event aims to raise funds for the purchase and installation of defibrillators in schools.
